Apple and date Power Ball.
Apple and Date Protein Power Ball Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup chopped dried dates (pitted)
1 cup grated apple (about 1 medium apple)
1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut butter)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
A pinch of salt
Optional toppings: shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or seeds
Instructions
Prepare Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped dates, grated apple, protein powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the almond butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth.
Mix Everything Together: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until everything is well combined. If the mixture is too crumbly, add a little water or additional honey until it holds together.
Shape the Balls: Using your hands, scoop out about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
Optional Coating: If desired, roll the power balls in shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or seeds for extra texture.
Chill: Place the protein power balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Store: Once chilled, transfer the power balls to an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
